Jaryn was a fabulous host. He was very quick to respond to our questions and provided helpful information. The house has a beautiful view of the lake and was perfect for our family with 3 kids, with a great living room and dining room for us to hang out in, have meals, play games and spend time together. The living room was a peaceful place to relax by the fire after a day of skiing and listen to music on the Alexa included in the rental. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our own meals and we appreciated the pantry including some basic staples we forgot to pack. the property is about 12 minutes from Butternut, a perfect location for a ski holiday. 5 minutes away is a breakfast and lunch spot with the best raspberry pancakes we'd ever had! Great Barrington is about 20 minutes away so it was easy to get there for dinners or to see live music. We had a great experience and will definitely stay here again when we go back up to the Berkshires next!

We had a lovely stay at this sweet cabin on the lake. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a long weekend stay. Jaryn was very communicative and everything was quite easy.
We stayed here to be close to hiking Mount Race and Mount Monument. It was perfectly situated for this activity.

What a lovely house! We loved the lake and spent most of our days on it - we were lucky to have 70-80 degree weather in early October -- and found it quite peaceful. We brought our own paddle boards but also made use of one of the kayaks at the house. The stairs down to the docks were definitely steep and uneven, but it was a small price to pay for access to gorgeous Lake Garfield. We were happy to cook most of our meals in the kitchen, and it was a nice bonus for my friend to be able to bring her dog. (And to have Starbucks coffee waiting for us in the cabinet!) We loved visiting Great Barrington and Stockbridge and hiking at nearby Beartown State Forest. We would love to come back!
Beautiful lake front home. Amazing sunsets and kayak rides. Great hiking trips. Cabin was nicely laid out. Had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Would love to come back again.

Cancellation policy
Refundable Bookings
Cancellation deadlines:
- For stays under 15 nights, you may cancel or reschedule up to 14 days before check-in for a full refund. For stays 15 nights or longer, the cancellation window is 60 days.
- For some homes, a 30-day deadline applies — this will be clearly shown before you book.
- Cancellations must be submitted before 4 PM EST on the deadline day to qualify.
Fair-Refund Policy
If you cancel after the deadline:
- Berkshire Vacation Rental Co. will relist your dates and automatically refund you for any nights that rebook.
- The refund per night will be the lower of the original price or the rebooking rate. Nights that do not rebook are non-refundable.
Half-Now, Half-Later Bookings
- The first half of your payment is non-refundable.
- The second half may be refunded according to the standard cancellation policy above.
Non-Refundable Bookings
If you selected a Non-Refundable rate at checkout, the booking cannot be changed or canceled, and no refund will be issued.
Date Changes & Rebooking
Once a stay is canceled, you can't rebook the same dates yourself. If you need help choosing new dates, our Concierge team is happy to assist.
Transfers to Another Guest
You may transfer your booking to someone else at no charge. Just contact the Concierge with the new guest's name and email. The new guest must accept the transfer for it to take effect.
Policy Match Guarantee
If a better price is available for the same property on Airbnb or the owner's site, contact the Concierge — Berkshire Vacation Rental Co. will match it.
