Pontoosuc Palace | Lakefront, Kayaks, Sleeps 12

Pontoosuc Palace is a 5-bedroom, 3.5-bath home set right on the water on the western edge of Pontoosuc Lake. Kayaks out back, grill is locked and loaded, and nothing beats a fire down by the water on a warm summer's night. Two families or three generations all under one roof with plenty of room to spread out and make this place home. Remember those lake house summers as a kid? This is lake life, Berkshire style. The home sits in a residential neighborhood on the west side of the lake, lined with homes right on the water. On a summer day you’ll see boats cruising by and kayakers out exploring. It’s been that way for a long time: in the late 1800s, folks rode a steamboat across the lake for 10 cents just to picnic on this shore. Pittsfield State Forest is right next door for hiking, and downtown Pittsfield is a quick 12-minute drive.

Car is recommended as there is limited public transportation and ride share options locally.
