‘How important is a quality short term rental listing description?’

If your looking to host families, talk about all the child friendly amenities you have, and all the safety precautions you’ve set up to make it a great place for kids. We’ve got a new little one at home, so this is top of mind for me. Maybe you’re really leaning into outdoor activities. Talk this up. You’ll get more bookings if you talk about the three kayaks your stocking at the home for guests to use rather than waste the space talking about the state of the art garbage disposal. Whenever possible, use this space to talk about a little history of the space. Maybe it was designed by an architect as their country home before they sold it to you. This is GREAT! Talk about it, name the listing after this in some way, and play into that theme throughout.

Last but not least. In the ‘Your Property’ section on Airbnb, that’s where you have some space to expand on things a bit. At the top, we always include a couple bullet points that say ‘things we think you’ll love’. Here we talk about the basic supplies the house’s come with, air conditioning, etc, think creature comforts. Don’t bury this stuff, people’s attention spans are short, and they won’t even get to it before going on to the next possible option for their next getaway.
